Dyson brand has released an incredible new product for hair care! Get to know Dyson Airstrait, a tool that can style wet or dry hair without using hot plates, but only with the help of air. In recent years, Dyson has attracted attention thanks to its famous Airwrap stylers and Supersonic hair dryers, which have minimal effect of high temperatures on the hair. And how does the new Airstrait work?
"The device combines the ease of use that people value so much in rectifiers, but it is equipped with high-speed blades. This way we save time, preserve hair strength, and achieve natural, smooth styling every day," says founder and chief engineer James Dyson in a press release.
Simply put, Airstrait is a combination of a hair dryer and a hair iron. But unlike a conventional rectifier, it does not use hot plates, instead accelerated air passing through the handles of the device. The air is then directed at a 45-degree angle down through the hair for simultaneous drying and straightening. This directional flow of air straightens and dries the hair at the same time, giving it smoothness and shine, reducing the fluffiness and porosity of the hair.
Dyson explains that hair styling begins with the destruction and restoration of hydrogen bonds in the hair, to give them a new shape. Wet hair is ideal because these bonds are the most elastic in them and can change without extreme temperatures - this is the principle on which Airstrait is based. "By using optimal heat levels and controlled airflow, we've found a way to style hair with less damage," Dyson says.
